Position Summary:
The Threat Intelligence Analyst is responsible for identifying and analyzing potential cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to our organization's information systems. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems by proactively monitoring, investigating, and responding to potential threats. The Threat Intelligence Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective threat mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform proactive threat intelligence monitoring and analysis to identify potential cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
2. Conduct in-depth investigations and assessments of potential threats, analyzing their impact and likelihood of occurrence.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective threat mitigation strategies, ensuring timely response and resolution.
4. Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports, providing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
5. Monitor emerging trends in the cybersecurity landscape, staying up-to-date with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
6. Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring appropriate containment, eradication, and recovery actions are taken.
7. Conduct regular threat assessments and risk analysis to identify potential weaknesses in our systems and recommend appropriate controls and countermeasures.
8. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security awareness and training programs for employees.
9. Stay informed about relevant regulations, laws, frameworks, and industry standards related to cybersecurity, ensuring compliance and adherence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in threat intelligence analysis or a similar role within the cybersecurity domain.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
4. Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
5. Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and other relevant cybersecurity tools.
6. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
7. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, fostering positive relationships and promoting knowledge sharing.
10. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar certifications are preferred.
